Karelia and Uzbekistan strengthen their partnership: trade turnover grows, prospects expand
Economic cooperation between Karelia and Uzbekistan is reaching a new level.
One of the striking examples of successful partnership was the interaction with the leading Karelian company OOO “Tsentr Pozharnoy Robototekhniki EFER”, which shipped innovative fire-fighting installations to Tashkent airport. It strengthens trust between the countries as well as confirms high quality and demand for the Karelian technologies abroad.
The next step in the cooperation development will be a reciprocal visit of the Uzbek business delegation to Karelia. The negotiations and business meetings will be held within the framework of the largest industry event, the international stone processing forum “Karelforum-2025”. It is an excellent opportunity for both parties to discuss new projects, exchange experience and sign promising contracts.
– We see huge potential in cooperation with Uzbekistan. According to the results of the period form January to May 2025, the volume of the export deliveries from the republic to Uzbekistan increased by impressive 67%, demonstrating the dynamic development of bilateral trade relations, – noted the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Karelia on economic issues Oleg Ermolaev. – The growth of trade turnover and mutual interest of business open the way for new joint initiatives in the field of industry, trade and innovation.
Karelia continues to strengthen its position as a reliable partner in the international arena, and the upcoming visit of the delegation from Uzbekistan will be another step towards long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
